Respond to the rapidly changing technological landscape by accessing the latest versions of cloud and on-premises software.

Streamline license management with a single organization-wide agreement.

How it works

The Enterprise Agreement is designed for organizations that want to license software and cloud services for a minimum three-year period.

The Enterprise Agreement offers built-in savings ranging from 15 percent to 45 percent. You also have the option to spread out your payments by making three annual payments instead of one up-front payment. This helps reduce initial costs and helps you forecast annual software budget requirements up to three years in advance.

The Enterprise Agreement includes a subscription option that lowers initial licensing costs because you subscribe to the rights to use Microsoft products and services instead of owning them. The subscription option also enables you to increase or decrease subscription counts on an annual basis.

Enterprise Agreement Enrollments

Get additional savings and benefits when you buy the following Enrollments:

Enterprise Enrollment: Get the best pricing; per user, per device, or hybrid licensing options; and simplified license management for end-user technologies from Microsoft.

Server and Cloud Enrollment: Get the best pricing, cloud-optimized licensing options, and simplified license management when you buy one or more server and cloud technologies from Microsoft.

The enrollment agreement structure allows you to easily add new products and services when you need them.

The Enterprise Agreement life cycle

During the term of your Enterprise Agreement, you can add and adjust users, devices, products, and services at any time without having to place individual purchase orders and account for changes through the annual process.

Renewing your Enterprise Agreement

When it is time to renew your Enterprise Agreement, you will have the opportunity to make adjustments to ensure that your new agreement is aligned with your current and future needs.

Get the best out of your investment with Software Assurance

Software Assurance is included in the Enterprise Agreement and provides a comprehensive range of benefits to help you plan, deploy, and use the latest Microsoft technologies and services. Software Assurance benefits help you extend the value of your Microsoft investments.

Enterprise Enrollment

The Enterprise Enrollment gives you the best value when you buy Microsoft end-user technologies on a per user, per device, or hybrid basis. Get a range of benefits, including best pricing and terms, cloud and user optimized licensing options, and simplified license management.

With the Enterprise Enrollment, you get the best pricing when you make an organization-wide commitment to the Enterprise Platform, which includes Office Professional Plus, CAL Suites, and Windows Enterprise.

Windows Software Assurance per User

Windows Software Assurance per User is a new way to license Windows, putting users at the center of licensing for their devices. All of a user’s devices are covered through Windows Software Assurance per User, including devices that are running iOS or Android operating systems. Only the user’s primary work PC needs to be running a qualified operating system (such as Windows Pro). With Windows Software Assurance per User, Windows Enterprise Edition can be delivered across the user’s devices. This provides simpler license management because you count only users with primary PCs, instead of counting every single device.

Server and Cloud Enrollment

The Server and Cloud Enrollment is an enrollment under the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement that enables you to commit to one or more key server and cloud technologies from Microsoft. In exchange, you get the best pricing and terms, plus other benefits such as cloud-optimized licensing options and simplified license management.

Get the best pricing, discounts, and added benefits designed to support server and cloud technologies.

Move to the cloud as needed and grow organically without losing the value of your existing investments.

Adopt the latest technologies while simplifying deployment and license management.

To enroll, you must make an installed-base commitment to one or more of the following four Server and Cloud Enrollment components:

This means committing to full Software Assurance coverage across the installed base of a Server and Cloud Enrollment component. For the Core Infrastructure component, however, you commit to full System Center coverage on the Windows Server installed base through the Core Infrastructure Suites (CIS). Microsoft Azure is automatically available when you are enrolling in any of the other three components, and it can also be licensed standalone.

Enterprise Agreement Enrollments have been replaced by Server and Cloud Enrollment

The Enrollment for Application Platform (EAP) and Enrollment for Core Infrastructure (ECI) have been replaced by the Server and Cloud Enrollment. Customers with any of these enrollments should work with their Microsoft representative or partner to develop the best transition plan.
